CCNZ holds the National Excavator Operator Competition (NEOC) to recognise and promote excellence of excavator operators within the civil construction industry by showing skills and expertise through competition.

Finalists from the regional competitions go forward to compete at the national finals held in March each year at the Central District Field Days.
